About

Alberto Campos Hernández is a researcher with the Human-AI Empowerment Lab and a senior software engineer with more than nine years of experience building production software across the full stack. With the lab, Alberto co-developed the Wellbot workplace assistant (MexIHC 2024) and the simulated crowd work platform behind the lab's study of transparent, worker-centered task recommendation (IEEE CAI 2026). Alberto is a long-time collaborator of Dr. Toxtli, with whom Alberto co-authored research on the crowd markets that workers and requesters imagine (ACM Collective Intelligence 2019).

Alberto is a Senior Front-End Engineer and practice lead at Svitla Systems, previously taught programming for artificial intelligence and cloud databases at the Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana de Aguascalientes, and holds a Master's in Applied Artificial Intelligence from Tecnológico de Monterrey and a B.Eng. in Information Technologies Engineering from the Universidad Tecnológica de Aguascalientes.
