Carlos Toxtli-Hernández

Assistant Professor of Human-Centered Computing · Lab Director

Carlos Toxtli-Hernández is an Assistant Professor in the Human-Centered Computing Division of the School of Computing at Clemson University, where he founded and directs the Human-AI Empowerment (HAIE) Lab. His research applies Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence to the design of tools that promote fair and frictionless interactions in the workplace, with a growing focus on how people can supervise, trust and benefit from autonomous and agentic AI systems.
